After losing to Monroe Catholic the last time they met, Sitka decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wolves had just enough and edged out the Rams 1-0 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolves have posted against the Rams since October 13, 2023.

Sitka's win bumped their record up to 16-14-9. As for Monroe Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6-2.

Coincidentally, Sitka and Monroe Catholic will both be playing Homer the next time they take the court. The Wolves will head out to face the Mariners at 9:10 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
