Basketball Recap: Bethel's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Bethel was feeling good fresh off their 59-39 takedown of Graham Local last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bethel Bees fell 55-46 to the Northridge Polar Bears on Thursday. The Bees have struggled against the Polar Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Jayah Martin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northridge, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. Martin has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Javonah Jordan, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Bethel's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5. As for Northridge, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Bethel and Northridge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Bethel (ranked 227th) will meet Piqua (ranked 532nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Northridge will square off against Stivers School for the Arts at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday up 500 places (170 vs. 670).
