Volleyball Game Preview: Plainville Blue Devils vs. Newington Nor'easters + Official Tickets

The Plainville Blue Devils will face off against the Newington Nor'easters at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Plainville lost 3-0 to Southington on Friday. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Blue Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Newington made easy work of Rocky Hill on Friday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Nor'easters.

Newington was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21, 25-18.

Plainville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Newington, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.

Plainville skirted past Newington 3-2 in their previous meeting back in October of 2016. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Nor'easters' Blayne Wanner-Hyde, who had 33 digs.
