Softball Recap: Thrall Extends Winning Streak to Four

Thrall came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Thorndale Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since February 14th.

Miley Pokorny spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Thrall saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mikayla Velasquez, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Thrall's victory bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Thorndale, the defeat snapped their winning streak at ten games and leaves them with a 14-5 record.
