Volleyball Recap: Blair Comes Up Short

Blair was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Monrovia Wildcats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Blair took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13, 25-22.

Blair's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Monrovia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-12.

Blair and Monrovia could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Vikings will challenge Temple City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (1116 vs. 484). Meanwhile, Monrovia (ranked 428th) will meet South Pasadena (ranked 124th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
