Baseball Recap: Cabrini Takes a Loss

Cabrini was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Monarchs of the 9-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Logan Emerick made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Those hits marked the first that he has got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Cetnar, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Cabrini's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Our Lady of the Lakes, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cabrini will challenge rival Bishop Foley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Our Lady of the Lakes is set to face off against their familiar foe Greenhills at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
