Softball Recap: Knox Takes Down Bremen in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Knox had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bremen Lions a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Redskins: when they faced off against the Lions on Friday, they had to take a 5-4 loss.

Cheryl Barnes was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Joie Montague was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

Knox was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 7-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

With the victory, Knox broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-15. As for Bremen, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-17.

Knox didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Jimtown on the 29th. Bremen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
