Volleyball Recap: Emmy Reilly's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Shelton over Staples + How To Watch

Shelton lost against Staples back in November of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gaels took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wreckers.

The final score came out to 25-15, 23-25, 25-17, 25-9.

Several Gaels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emmy Reilly, who had 12 digs and one block. Reilly is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Avery Wheeler was another key player, getting 14 digs and five aces.

Shelton now has a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Shelton will be playing at home against Hillhouse at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Staples, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against New Canaan at 4:00 p.m. on the 16th.
