Softball Recap: Republic Extends Winning Streak to Four

Republic waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 14-13 W against the Selkirk Rangers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Republic's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Selkirk, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Republic will challenge rival Curlew at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Selkirk is set to square off against their familiar foe Northport at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
