Recap: Fayetteville Academy Eagles vs. Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders
The Fayetteville Academy Eagles were the 39-19 winner over the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Fayetteville Academy was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 46-45 to Harrells Christian Academy.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Polly Miller, who scored 17 points. Miller scored a full 37.8% of Fayetteville Academy's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Duchon, who scored 18 points.
Fayetteville Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Harrells Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Fayetteville Academy will head out on the road to face off against Rocky Mount Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Rocky Mount Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Harrells Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeastern Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
