Baseball Game Preview: Stayton Eagles vs. Pleasant Hill Billies

The Stayton Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Pleasant Hill Billies at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Stayton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Stayton will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Marist, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Eagles walked away with an 8-5 win over the Spartans on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Hill came up short against Cascade on Wednesday and fell 5-1. The Billies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pleasant Hill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb VanOrdstrand, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Kaden Fisher also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

The victory got Stayton back to even at 4-4. As for Pleasant Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1.
