Softball Recap: Hammond Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against East Chicago Central last Wednesday, Hammond Central came back down to earth. The Wolves lost 13-3 to the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 19-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Raven Jo Floyd was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Bustos, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Hammond Central's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they moved to 6-12 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Hammond Central will square off against Lake Station Edison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they will take on Griffith at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
