Soccer Recap: McCluer Comes Up Short

McCluer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hazelwood East Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Hazelwood East this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in April.

McCluer's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Hazelwood East, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-9 record.

Looking ahead, McCluer will be playing in front of their home fans against McCluer North at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hazelwood East, they will take on Whitfield at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
