Volleyball Recap: Marblehead's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Marblehead had won three straight games and Sydney Faris did her part to make it four on Monday. The Magicians blew past the Salem Witches 3-0 with plenty of help from Faris, who had 20 digs and one assist. She has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Marblehead was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12, 25-19.

Marblehead's record now sits at 9-2. As for Salem, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Marblehead will take on rival Peabody Veterans Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Salem is set to challenge their familiar foe Swampscott at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
