Softball Game Preview: East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans vs. Oswego Bucs

The East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans will venture away from home to square off against the Oswego Bucs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oswego took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on East Syracuse-Minoa, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, East Syracuse-Minoa got the win against Westhill by a conclusive 9-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Oswego didn't have quite enough to beat Auburn on Monday and fell 6-5. The Bucs have struggled against the Maroons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Oswego saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaelyn Bond, who went 3-for-6 with one run and one double. Lillee Thompson also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Oswego now has a losing record of 6-7. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

East Syracuse-Minoa came up short against Oswego when the teams last played on Thursday, falling 5-0. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
