Northwest had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They blew past the Hoover Huskies 88-28. Given the Wolves 's advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Huskies are ranked 315th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwest has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game.
