Softball Recap: Hayfork Timberjacks vs. Trinity Wolves
Hayfork had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 0-11 to make it 12. They lost 14-1 to the Trinity Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Timberjacks of the 21-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
As for Trinity, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games.
For Trinity's part, Brynn Sommerfeld and Jessica Brown were major factors no matter where they played.
