North extends road losing streak to 17

Recap: North Vikings vs. Aquinas Knights

This season hasn't been kind to the North Vikings, who are still winless after their 12th game. They were dealt a 73-41 defeat at the hands of Aquinas on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss North has suffered since December 12, 2023.

Bronson Gilyard was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six assists and six rebounds for Aquinas. Gilyard is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeante Brown, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

North bumped their record down to 0-12 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Aquinas, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North will take on Garfield Community Learning Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garfield Community Learning Center presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North in Ohio (Garfield Community Learning Center is ranked 280th, while North is ranked 806th). As for Aquinas, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Southeast at 7:00 p.m. Southeast is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
