Soccer Recap: Knightdale Comes Up Short

Knightdale fell victim to Vance County and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Vipers. While losing is never fun, Knightdale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 366th, while Vance County are ranked 108th).

This is the second loss in a row for Knightdale and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for Vance County, their win bumped their record up to 12-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Knightdale will challenge rival Wake Forest at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Vance County is set to square off against their familiar foe Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
