After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Belton, Ellison was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Chaparral Bobcats. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Ellison wouldn't go down easily and took Chaparral into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 16-25, 20-25, 15-13.

Ellison's win bumped their record up to 5-29. As for Chaparral, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-23 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ellison is set to face off against their familiar foe Waco at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Chaparral will square off against rival University at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
