Baseball Recap: Kenmore East Bulldogs vs. Niagara Falls Wolverines

Kenmore East extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 5-4 in the process. They lost 11-2 to the Niagara Falls Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 last Tuesday.

Kenmore East saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Adair, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. That double marked the first that Adair has hit this season. Another was Jake Simpson, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

As for Niagara Falls, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.

On Niagara Falls' side, they got a great performance from Andre Borges as he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. What's more, Borges posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anthony Savino, who went 1-for-5 with three stolen bases and two runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Anthony Littere was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
