Game recap: Ansonia High School Football Team defeats Wilby

The scores gave the senior 15 touchdowns for the year.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Arkeel Newsome in the first quarter, Ansonia (Conn.) was up 27-0 at the half.

The Chargers grew their lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. Ansonia scored two times in the third, including once on an Newsome touchdown run.

Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 44-12 win for AHS.



With the win the Chargers extended their winning streak to four games.

Ansonia (4-0) goes up against Derby in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass game matchup next week, while Wilby (2-2) locks horns with Watertown also in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass game.
