Football Recap: Global Outreach Charter Academy Takes a Loss

Global Outreach Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against the West Nassau Warriors, falling 34-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 33-25 back in February.

West Nassau's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Danyelle Bell, who rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 60 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Payton Jefferson, who rushed for 24 yards and a pair of TDs.

Global Outreach Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for West Nassau, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Global Outreach Charter Academy will venture away from home to take on Wolfson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Nassau, they will head out to challenge Bishop Snyder at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Warriors 8.3, the Cardinals 8.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
