Football Recap: Horseshoe Bend Falls to Saks in First Game of Season

Horseshoe Bend had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saks Wildcats. The Generals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Looking ahead, Horseshoe Bend will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Wadley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saks, they will venture away from home to face off against Piedmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
