Volleyball Game Preview: Chipley Tigers vs. Branford Buccaneers

The Chipley Tigers will face off against the Branford Buccaneers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Chipley comes in on 15 and Branford on eight.

Chipley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Liberty County 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since September 30th.

Chipley took Liberty County into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 21-25, 22-25, 25-17, 15-10.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Branford and Williston, and Branford kept the tradition alive. The Buccaneers blew past the Red Devils 3-0 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Buccaneers have posted against the Red Devils since August 30, 2016.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Branford took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 25-13.

Branford's win bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Chipley, their victory bumped their record up to 24-6.
