The Spartans came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 5-2. Those five runs were actually the fewest the Spartans have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Moberly pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 8.9 runs this season. As for Boonville, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Boonville came out on top in a nail-biter against Moberly when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
