Clinton County came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Russell County Lakers with a sharp 17-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Clinton County pushed their record up to 23-7 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Russell County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-13.
