Volleyball Recap: Benton Takes a Loss

Benton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverdale Chieftains.

Benton was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 27-25.

Benton's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Riverdale, they moved to 12-13 with that victory, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Benton has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Boscobel on the 4th. As for Riverdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Scales Mound on the 4th.
