After a string of three wins, Ridgeland's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Madison Central Jaguars an easy 7-0 victory. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Jaguars are ranked seventh).

Ridgeland's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Madison Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which somehow still isn't as good as their 6-1-2 record this season.

Ridgeland will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on McComb at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Madison Central will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Germantown at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
