Softball Recap: Stephenville FAITH Takes a Loss

Stephenville FAITH was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Texas Wind.

McKenzi Black spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Remington Bassham was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Karsyn Bedwell, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Stephenville FAITH's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Texas Wind, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Stephenville FAITH wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 17-0 defeat against Cisco on the 21st. As for Texas Wind, they have also already played their next game, a 15-4 victory against Bishop Reicher Catholic on the 21st.
