AA District 8 recap November 5, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Smith County, who took down 164th ranked DeKalb County, 35-31.
Upperman added to the longest winning streak in AA District 8 this week by beating Cannon County, 48-12. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Bees.
Upperman's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bees feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Connor York has thrown for 1,684 yards and 28 touchdowns this season, while Robert Stepehenson has 13 catches for 249 yards. York also leads the league in rushing with 1,747 yards.
Upperman led the league in scoring this week by notching 48 points on the Lions. York threw for 145 yards and 5 touchdowns and ran for 71 yards in the win.
