Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Antoine White and Jaden Jackson Lead Sebastian River to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jensen Beach, Sebastian River was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They strolled past the South Fork Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 21-7. This was payback for the Sharks, who suffered a 21-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jaden Jackson and Antoine White. Jackson rushed for 64 yards and a pair of touchdowns while White rushed for 86 yards and one TD on only ten carries. White's longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Sebastian River didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Eric Johnson and Gavyn Baker. Johnson has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played. Another thorn in South Fork's side was Devon Dawkins, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Sebastian River's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for South Fork, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Sebastian River will head out to face off against Okeechobee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Brahmans' defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so the Sharks' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for South Fork, they will host Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
