Softball Recap: Bartlett Bulldogs vs. Bremond Tigers
Bartlett extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-13. They came up short against the Bremond Tigers, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in March.
As for Bremond, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.
For Bremond's part, Mya Wortham was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wortham has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Bremond let Addison Young and Ryleigh Reistino run wild. Young went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Reistino went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Reistino has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Charlye Martin, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Bartlett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bremond, they will square off against Thorndale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
