Baseball Recap: Bowsher Has No Trouble Against John Hay

Bowsher was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against John Hay on Saturday. The BlueRacers put the hurt on John Hay with a sharp 21-1 win. Considering the BlueRacers have won 14 games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Jaiden Oliphant, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and four RBI. Those five runs gave him a new career-high. Connor Corley was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Bowsher always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as John Hay only posted an OBP of .167.

Bowsher's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for John Hay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

Looking ahead, Bowsher will face off against Cardinal Stritch at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. John Hay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
