Volleyball Recap: Kellis Comes Up Short

Kellis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Kami Milner was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Kellis' loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Sunrise Mountain, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kellis will take on rival Lake Havasu at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Sunrise Mountain is set to square off against their familiar foe Ironwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
