Baseball Game Preview: Rowland Raiders vs. Northview Vikings

For the second straight game, Rowland will face off against Northview. The Raiders will take on the Vikings at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Rowland has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Northview will arrive with five straight victories.

Rowland fell victim to Northview and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered since April 10th.

For Northview's part, Levi Rosales looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Rosales has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jaime Gallardo was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Northview is undefeated when Gallardo posts two or more runs, but 10-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jayden Chagollan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Northview hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive contests.

Rowland's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Northview, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
