Basketball Game Preview: Elizabeth Cardinals vs. Mitchell Marauders

The Elizabeth Cardinals will challenge the Mitchell Marauders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Friday, Elizabeth was beaten by The Classical Academy 49-11. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Halli Connelley and London Machado, who each put up four points.

Meanwhile, Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 49-18 defeat at the hands of Pueblo Centennial. The Marauders were down 44-15 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Elizabeth, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Elizabeth strolled past Mitchell when the teams last played back in January by a score of 39-20. Will Elizabeth repeat their success, or does Mitchell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
