Softball Recap: Powhatan's Run of Five Straight Wins Now Over

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Powhatan can now relate to. They fell just short of the Eastern View Cyclones by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Indians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Powhatan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Harper, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Powhatan moved to 13-8 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Eastern View, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Powhatan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastern View, they will face off against King George on Tuesday. The Foxes will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Cyclones surely won't give up without a fight.
