Basketball Recap: Penncrest Takes a Loss

Penncrest has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Firebirds are ranked 124th).

Penncrest's defeat dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Holy Ghost Prep, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7.

As of now, neither Penncrest nor Holy Ghost Prep have any future games scheduled.
