There's no place like home for Haywood, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the South Gibson Hornets 68-43 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tomcats have posted since December 26, 2024.

Haywood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Antrell Jones led the charge by going 5-for-9 to rack up 15 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lekendric Phillips, who shot 50% from the field en route to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Haywood is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season. South Gibson's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-13.

Looking ahead, Haywood will be taking part in a tournament against Dyersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Gibson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
