Basketball Game Preview: Smithfield Sentinels vs. Wheeler Warriors

The Smithfield Sentinels will venture away from home to face off against the Wheeler Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Smithfield and three for Wheeler.

On Friday, Smithfield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-50 to Shea.

Meanwhile, Wheeler lost to Barrington at home by a 60-44 margin on Saturday.

Wheeler's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Smithfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Smithfield skirted past Wheeler 53-50 when the teams last played back in March of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Smithfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
