Baseball Recap: Millwood Takes a Loss

Millwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 8-4 to the Santa Fe South Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 9-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2015.

Millwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Santa Fe South, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16.

Coming up, Millwood will challenge Putnam City at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.75 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Santa Fe South, they will head out on the road to square off against Classen SAS at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
