Baseball Recap: Pisgah Takes a Loss

Pisgah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the South Pittsburg Pirates, falling 12-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Pisgah saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Jenkins, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Pisgah's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for South Pittsburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pisgah will host Fyffe at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Pittsburg, they will be playing at home against North Sand Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Sand Mountain will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something South Pittsburg surely won't give up without a fight.
