Basketball Recap: Mossyrock Comes Up Short

Mossyrock lost against Adna two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mossyrock Vikings took a hard 64-49 fall against the Adna Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Pirates are ranked 83rd).

Adna's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trevin Salme, who went 7-for-17 to rack up 20 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Salme's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Beau Miller was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Mossyrock dropped their record down to 5-14 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Adna, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.

Mossyrock didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-38 win against Toutle Lake on the 15th. As for Adna, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-48 victory against Rainier on the 19th.
