Softball Recap: Goliad Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Goliad waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Luling Eagles a 15-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Goliad's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 13.8 runs this season. As for Luling, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Goliad will square off against Nixon-Smiley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.5 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Luling, they will challenge Stockdale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
