Volleyball Game Preview: University Christian Barracudas vs. The Burlington School Spartans

The University Christian Barracudas will take on The Burlington School Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in University Christian's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while The Burlington School has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

University Christian won the last time they faced Millers Creek Christian and Fernanda Soto did her part to make sure it happened again. The Barracudas were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions on Thursday with plenty of help from Soto, who had nine digs and eight aces. Soto is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 20 every time she's taken the court this season.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: University Christian took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-11.

Meanwhile, The Burlington School came up short against Woods Charter on Monday, falling 3-0.

The Burlington School took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-20.

The Burlington School's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for University Christian, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.

Everything went University Christian's way against The Burlington School in their previous meeting back in October of 2021, as University Christian made off with a 3-0 victory.
