Football Recap: Tigard Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Sherwood + How To Watch

Tigard faced Sherwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tigers took a 35-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bowmen. The Tigers have struggled against the Bowmen recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Tigard's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aris Dimick, who rushed for 83 yards on only nine carries.

Jace Brown went supernova For Sherwood., rushing for 243 yards and three scores on only 12 carries. Brown's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.

Tigard's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sherwood, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Tigard will look to defend their home field on Friday against West Linn at 7:00 p.m. The Lions' defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Sherwood, they will square off against Glencoe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bowmen will need to watch out since the Crimson Tide have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
