Volleyball Game Preview: Chavez Eagles vs. Poly Parrots

Chavez hasn't had much luck against Poly recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles will challenge the Parrots at 3:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Chavez is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since September 11th on Monday. They came up short against Arleta, falling 3-0.

While Chavez was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-15, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Poly lost 3-0 to Grant on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Parrots in their meetings with the Lancers: they've now lost four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-11.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Chavez, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Chavez might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Poly in their previous meeting on September 8th. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
