Volleyball Game Preview: McBain Ramblers vs. Houghton Lake Bobcats + How To Watch

The McBain Ramblers are taking a road trip to square off against the Houghton Lake Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

McBain is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Roscommon just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Bucks, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Ramblers have suffered since November 14, 2024.

While McBain was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Roscommon's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Houghton Lake lost 3-0 to Beal City on Thursday. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Aggies recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Houghton Lake's loss dropped their record down to 3-13-5. As for McBain, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

McBain took their victory against Houghton Lake in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ramblers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
