After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Atlantic Christian, The Pilgrim Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Calvary Academy Warrior 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pioneers have posted against the Warrior since April 11, 2022.

The Pilgrim Academy secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Johnny Monroe, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

The Pilgrim Academy's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-10. As for Calvary Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
